Meta’s Energy Team seeks a commercially-experienced energy professional to manage data center energy supply in the United States, focusing on electricity and natural gas markets, regulation, and supplier relationships.

The role drives energy strategy for data centers, negotiates agreements, and coordinates with legal, site selection, and finance teams. Travel ~25% and equity-based compensation are included.

Qualifications

• 7+ years navigating commercial energy issues for electricity and/or natural gas.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage commercial relationships for data centers across US energy markets.
• Take role in regulatory processes and influence rate-making and energy supply solutions.
• Develop and grow relationships with utility partners, market participants, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate and deliver new commercial agreements spanning electricity, generation, and fuel supply.
• Source, negotiate, and execute natural gas supply, transportation, and storage agreements.
• Support development of supply solutions for on-site generation and bridge power.
• Evaluate gas market fundamentals and translate into recommendations.
• Partner with legal to refine commercial arrangements.
• Identify new US locations with energy requirements for data centers.
• Interface with internal teams across orgs.
• Support continued energy strategy execution for data centers.
• Stay informed on market/regulatory developments and communicate trends to management.
• Lead and support energy projects as needed.
• Ability to travel domestically (likely 25%).
