Job summary

DHL Express in the United States is seeking a Document Control Lead to obtain clearance documents from customers and coordinate between Origin, Destination, Brokers and DHL teams. You will enter data into DHL systems and track shipments through the clearance process.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Senior level service/production/support with greater responsibility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data entry.
• 1 year experience in customer service or imports.
• Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
• Customer service skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in processing inbound freight for clearance through US Customs.
• Processes shipments to gain clearance information while staying compliant with regulations.
• Contacts DHL customers experiencing clearance delays.
• Provides status updates to Origin and destination stations on shipments.
• Examines invoices and documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Creates/updates Customer Master Files and handles US Customs documents.
