Job summary

DHL Express is hiring a Clearance Manager to lead customs clearance operations in a fast-paced environment. You will guide a team of staff and supervisors, ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and agency regulations while driving efficiency and accuracy in daily activities.

The role requires leadership experience in customs/intl trade, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. A SIDA badge process is part of the eligibility requirements, with a focus on policy adherence and

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA and 3-5 years of experience in Customs Clearance/International Trade in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing, motivating and developing staff.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
• General knowledge of U.S. Customs and International trade.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to internal and external customers.
• Ensure staff operations meet established timeframes and regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for the business.
• Ensure policies and procedures are consistently administered.
• Assign work, set completion dates, review performance per policy.
• Meet key performance indicators and targets.
• Manage a large team across service, production, or support roles.
• Provide coaching and performance evaluations as required.
