Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a Customs Support Agent in the United States to assist customers with shipment clearance and regulatory compliance. You will review invoices and air way bills to ensure accurate documentation and fast delivery.

Coordinate with internal teams and government agencies, research tariff codes, and manage extensions or cancellations while maintaining clear communication with origins and destinations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Overtime is required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database and web-based applications.
• Good oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; email and phone etiquette a must.

Responsibilities

• Make contact with customers to obtain correct documentation for US Customs compliance.
• Research tariff codes through government websites.
• Process requests for extensions and cancellations of shipments.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations by supplying missing information.
• Maintain communication with internal and external departments.
