Job summary

Deutsche Post's DHL Express is seeking an Export Agent to join our Customs Support team. You will contact customers regarding clearance matters to ensure compliance with federal regulations and the safe, fast delivery of shipments.

You will review documents, research tariff codes, and coordinate with internal and external partners to support accurate DHL clearance while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to obtain SIDA badge and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to obtain correct documentation for US customs.
• Research tariff codes via government websites.
• Process shipment extensions and cancellations.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams on shipment status.
• Review documents for customs clearance accuracy.
• Verify and assign shipments for correction.
• Maintain accurate data in DHL clearance systems.
