Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead a diverse team responsible for cloud infrastructure in global data centers. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions while coordinating hardware and network diagnostics and ensuring rapid repair.

You will manage day-to-day operations, shift coverage, and travel as needed, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
• Manage the performance of a diverse team across locations
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels
• Ensure 24/7 data center operations including queue management and on-call coverage
• Drive KPI tracking and process improvements
• Lead large-scale outage responses and act as call leader
