Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead engineering teams and oversee global data center operations. You will drive performance, optimize processes, and collaborate with vendors to meet rapid data center growth and reliability goals.

You will work with internal AWS teams to uphold safety standards and ensure efficient, scalable infrastructure across locations, traveling as required to support facilities and launches.

Qualifications

• Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics and driving insights.
• Experience in vendor management.
• 4+ years in a data center technology role and/or 4+ years in TCP/IP networking, cabling, fiber, or test equipment.
• 4+ years in a management or team-lead function.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing leadership and ensuring performance.
• Maintaining existing data centers.
• Helping build and bring online new data centers.
• Improving processes and procedures to drive efficiency.
• Managing relationships with external vendors and contractors.
• Collaborating with internal teams and management groups.
• Ensuring safety standards and operational metrics are met.
• Creating and using metrics to drive improvements.
• Implementing service methodologies including incident, change, capacity management.
