Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Technology Manager to lead a world‑class data center operations team. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive technical solutions while coordinating hardware, network, and facilities across global data centers.

Expect on‑call rotation and travel between sites as needed. The role emphasizes strategic planning, cross‑functional collaboration with software/hardware engineers, and a culture of safety, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of a diverse team(s) of data center operation professionals with varying skills across locations.
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Ensure effective day-to-day data center operations including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangement and hardware logistics.
• Lead and participate in large scale events (outages) as the call leader.
