Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technology manager to lead a team responsible for cloud infrastructure for global data center operations.

The role emphasizes people management, strategic planning, mentoring, and sponsoring projects, with hands-on involvement in hardware/network diagnostics and on-call responsibilities. Qualifications

4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
2+ years of people management experience.
2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations.
Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
Ensure day-to-day data center operations including queue management and 24/7 shift coordination.
Maintain on-call schedule and respond to outages as call leader.
Drive improvements in processes, technology and automation.
