Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Technician – Commercial Generators to perform on-site maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment at customer sites.

The role includes technical support for operational issues and coordination with subcontractors. The ideal candidate has extensive field experience with generator systems, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; military experience or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum qualifications require 3 years field experience for Level II, 6 years for Level III, 10 years for Level IV in generator systems.
• Experience with 500kW+ generators and proficiency in preventative maintenance, ATS repairs, and loadbanking.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site maintenance and repair of contracted equipment and support customers on operational issues.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors and ensure work meets PowerSecure standards.
• Complete all required paperwork including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, and Expense Reports promptly and accurately.
• Deliver technical support and maintain technical documentation for study and review.
• Travel up to 25% of the time and be available for on-call service as required.
