Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. seeks an experienced Service Technician for Commercial Generators to maintain and repair generator and power distribution equipment at customer sites.

The role requires on-site diagnostic work, coordination with sub-contractors, and providing technical support to customers. Ideal candidates will have extensive field experience with generator systems, particularly 500KW+ units, and demonstrate strong safety, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of field experience servicing generator systems (Level II).
• Six years of field experience servicing generator systems with extensive 500KW+ experience (Level III).
• Ten years of field experience with generators; expert in PM and controls (Level IV).
• Ability to perform triennial maintenance, engine diagnostics, fuel system priming, and replacing components.
• High School diploma or GED; related military experience or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 on-call services as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service on generator and power distribution equipment.
• Coordinate on-site subcontractors and maintain company vehicles and tools.
• Provide technical support to customers and document Field Service Reports.
