Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. in Illinois seeks a Service Technician for Commercial Generators to perform maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment. You will provide technical support to customers on operational aspects and ensure safety standards.

Role requires extensive field experience with generators (500kW+), experience with switchgear and ATS, and ability to mentor other technicians. Will travel and work 85% outdoors with on-site tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Three years of field experience servicing generator systems with 500kW+ capacity.
• Six years of field experience servicing generator systems; extensive 500KW+ experience.
• Ten years of field experience servicing generators; expert in preventative maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical issues; attention to safety.
• Mentor mid to high level techs and work with Product Support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to customer sites and perform maintenance and repairs.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as required and document field work.
• Maintain tools and equipment; perform battery installations and replacements.
• Complete Field Service Reports, time sheets and expense reports timely.
• Offer technical support to customers and maintain documentation.
