Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician for Commercial Generators in the Cicero, IL area. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment, with customer-facing technical support on operations and maintenance aspects.

The candidate should have multiple years of field experience, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently at client sites, while mentoring less experienced technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent field experience.
• Experience servicing generator systems and power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams for diagnostics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer-facing.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel with independent work structure.
• Provide 24x7 on-call service as required, unless on PTO.
• Perform preventative maintenance on contracted equipment and on-call repairs.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors as necessary.
• Maintain and safeguard company-issued tools and equipment.
