Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a General Manager in Ohio to lead a busy shop and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will supervise the team, manage P&L, and drive sales through local marketing and strong operations.

You will spend 80-90% on the shop floor, ensure health and safety standards, and coach staff to meet deadlines and labor goals. A dynamic, customer-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 2 years as a General Manager in a restaurant or retail environment with P&L responsibility preferred.
• Must pass food safety certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to maintain deadlines and prioritize while running an effective shift.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop all shop team members to realize their potential.
• Interview, select and hire great people who represent Potbelly Values.
• Develop and maintain Good Vibes culture that fosters attraction and retention.
• Schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders effectively.
• Update communication board with critical shop information and hold regular staff meetings.
• Delegate tasks to ensure high standard of execution and cash handling accuracy.
• Drive local shop marketing and promotions to maximize sales potential.
