Potbelly is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy Potbelly shop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The GM will foster a friendly, customer-first culture, drive sales through local marketing, and maintain strong labor and financial controls while developing a high-performing team.

You will oversee front-of-house operations, ensure food safety, coordinate with leadership, and uphold Potbelly values every day.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced restaurant or retail environments.
• Strong people development and coaching abilities.
• Solid communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with monitoring financials and labor costs.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach shop team members to realize their potential.
• Interview, hire and develop staff aligned with Potbelly values.
• Schedule associates and shift leaders; manage labor goals.
• Lead local shop marketing and promotions to maximize sales.
• Ensure health, safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Count drawers and follow cash handling procedures.
• Handle customer issues and resolve complaints.
• Other duties as assigned.
