Job summary

HMSHost International is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or small cluster of outlets near Milwaukee. The GM will ensure cleanliness, staffing, and high operational standards while owning P&L responsibility and driving profitability.

You will supervise opening/closing, staffing, training, and compliance with brand standards, while implementing marketing programs and managing vendor relations. Competitive benefits accompany a dynamic, customer-focused leadership role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of restaurant P&L management experience.
• Experience leading multi-site operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HMSHost policies and brand standards.
• Degree not required if equivalent management experience exists.

Responsibilities

• Open/close restaurant and ensure opening/closing checklists are followed.
• Deploy staff to maximize profitability and maintain staffing levels.
• Interview candidates and make hiring decisions; promote HMSHost as employer.
• Ensure diversity and inclusion within the restaurant team.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding and compliance with badging procedures.
• Monitor financial and operational data to meet unit goals.
• Recognize staff contributions and drive engagement initiatives.
• Maintain contact information for all associates in the restaurant.
• Order, receive, and manage stock; liaise with vendors on supply issues.
• Maintain equipment; comply with audits and safety programs.
• Understand brand standards and train staff on policies and procedures.
• Support marketing programs and revenue-driving initiatives.
• Lead day-to-day activities and resolve guest/employee issues.
