Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or small cluster, ensuring cleanliness, staffing, opening/closing, and high operational and financial standards. The GM will use broad discretion to drive revenue, manage P&L, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires strong leadership, staffing, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on engagement, brand standards, and safety compliance. On-site work and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant P&L management experience with multiple annual cycles.
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant and manage shifts.
• Deploy staff to maximize profitability and maintain P&L accountability.
• Hire, promote, and discipline staff; promote HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Ensure onboarding/offboarding and compliance with badging and training processes.
• Oversee vendor relations, inventory, and order procedures to maintain stock levels.
• Interpret financial and operations data to guide unit performance.
