Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division, optimize daily operations, and scale revenue.

As GM, you own the division’s P&L, oversee field technicians, dispatch, safety compliance, and growth initiatives, aligning service delivery with profitability. You will recruit and mentor licensed plumbers, streamline workflows, manage pricing, and maintain top-tier client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction or related education.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends.
• Familiarity with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software.
• Able to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget and pricing models to hit gross margin targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and workflows to maximize technician efficiency.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer Relations: Escalation point for inquiries and project disputes to uphold brand reputation.
