Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in California. You will own the division’s operations and P&L, manage field technicians and dispatch, and drive profitability and growth.

Responsibilities include pricing strategy, daily workflow optimization, and expanding commercial maintenance contracts and residential plans, while maintaining exceptional customer relations.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel software.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: manage budget, track costs, and implement pricing to hit gross margin targets.
• Team leadership: recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize technician efficiency.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Serve as the final escalation point for customer inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation.
