Top Echelon Software LLC in California seeks a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division, own daily operations, and scale revenue to the next level.

As the General Manager, you will oversee field technicians, dispatch, P&L management, safety compliance, and business growth, driving profitability.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction, or a bachelor’s degree in construction science or related fields; or an equivalent certification with experience and education preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with a clean DMV record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Uses independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
• Familiarity with computers and software for job costing, scheduling, and estimating
• Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure
• Coordinate several major activities at once while resolving problems
• Establish and maintain good working relationships inside and outside the company

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, track labor and material costs, and implement pricing models to hit gross profit targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability and safety.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize technician efficiency and minimize callbacks.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer Relations: Escalate inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation.
