Essenti Talent is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division, owning the division's operations and P&L while driving profitability and growth. You will manage field teams, dispatch, and daily workflows to optimize efficiency and service quality.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, strategic pricing, safety, and customer relations with a focus on scaling revenue in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction.
• HVAC and general construction experience.
• California driver license with clean DMV record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required.
• Experience with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software.
• Capable of handling multiple activities while solving problems.

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, track labor and material costs, and implement pricing models to hit gross margin targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability, safety, and craftsmanship.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize technician efficiency and minimize call-backs.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts, residential plans, and market share.
• Customer Relations: Escalate inquiries and disputes to protect the brand reputation.
