Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in California, owning P&L, optimizing daily operations, and driving revenue growth. You will manage field technicians, dispatch, and office staff, align pricing strategy, ensure safety compliance, and scale profitability while delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction; or bachelor’s degree in construction science or related fields; or an equivalent certification combined with experience, and education preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in the trade of HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License, with clean DMV record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong and solid typing skills, and a proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel Software programs
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Uses independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
• Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating
• Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with many different people inside and outside of the company
• Licensing: Journeyman/Master Plumber license is a major plus, but strong business background will be heavily considered
• Background check, drug screen, and clean driving record required

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, track labor and material costs, and implement pricing models to hit gross profit targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability, safety, and craftsmanship.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce call-backs.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand commercial maintenance contracts and residential memberships.
• Customer Relations: Serve as escalation point for inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation.
