Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in California. You will own the division's operational and financial outcomes, managing plumbers, dispatch, and P&L while driving profitability and growth across commercial and residential segments.

The role demands strong leadership, scheduling oversight, and a proactive approach to customer relations. A California license and experience in trades are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction.
• HVAC and general construction knowledge.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Typing skills with proficiency in MS Office and Excel
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, overtime and weekends
• Familiarity with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software
• Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Own the division's P&L, budgeting, cost tracking, and pricing strategies to hit gross margin targets.
• Lead licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; promote accountability, safety, and craftsmanship.
• Oversee daily dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize technician efficiency.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Act as final escalation point for customer inquiries and project disputes.
