Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division, overseeing field operations, dispatch, and P&L to scale revenue in California. You will drive profitability while mentoring technicians and staff, ensuring safety and quality in daily work.

The role emphasizes strategic pricing, team leadership, and customer relations. A strong trades/business background and relevant licensing are assets; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction science or related field, or equivalent certification with experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC and general construction trades.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: manage the division's budget, track costs, and set pricing to hit gross margin targets.
• Team leadership: recruit, train, and mentor licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Operational excellence: oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Business growth: develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and memberships.
• Customer relations: serve as escalation point for inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation.
