Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Rockville, MD is seeking a Sales Consultant to join our team. You will drive furniture and design service sales, schedule home consultations, and execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The role offers training pay of $18/hour for 2–6 weeks, followed by base pay plus uncapped commissions and a total earning potential of $50,000–$70,000+ per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales to meet store goals by selling furniture, accessories and services.
• Promotes the Design program and assists the Designer to reach sales goals.
• Follows the La-Z-Boy selling process to create a positive customer experience.
• Develops rapport, discovers needs, presents customized portfolios, handles objections, and closes.
• Supports design-related functions and schedules professional home consultations.
• Manages customer records, deliveries, and post-sale follow-up.
• Maintains store visuals, assists with floor moves, and ensures showroom cleanliness.
