Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Woodbury, MN seeks a Sales Consultant to drive sales of furniture and accessories. You will deliver exceptional customer service, utilize the La‑Z‑Boy selling process, and promote the Design program with our Designer team.

You’ll build relationships, manage time, and close sales while upholding store standards and operating procedures. Training and a path to higher earnings are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and influence customers.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work with others as a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales by selling furniture, accessories and services.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to hit sales goals.
• Follow the La-Z-Boy selling process to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Develop sales skills including approach, needs discovery, objections handling and closing.
• Maximize promotions, marketing initiatives and grassroots programs.
• Maintain knowledge of product features and benefits.
• Schedule home consultations for customized room designs and installations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in training and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Support store operations including visuals, floor moves and record-keeping.
