Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is hiring a store sales associate in Sandusky, OH. You will drive sales, promote the Design program, and deliver exceptional customer service by guiding customers through the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and interactive design consultations.

Training pay starts at $16/hour for 2–6 weeks with no commissions; post‑training base pay plus uncapped commissions, bonuses, and 401k options. Expect full‑time hours and opportunities to exceed base earnings through performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Drives store sales by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve established Design program sales goals.
• Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and provide a favorable customer experience.
• Develop sales skills through approach, rapport, needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objections handling, and follow‑up.
• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs and benefit of professional installation.
• Maintain showroom displays and assist with store promotions and marketing initiatives.
