Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is hiring for a Sales Associate to drive sales with exceptional customer service and knowledge of the La-Z-Boy selling process. Learn the product lines, design services, and installations while building long‑term customer relationships.

Training pay starts at $16/hour for 2–6 weeks, then base pay plus commissions with a potential annual earnings of $55,000–$75,000+. 40 hours weekly in a retail setting, with benefits and growth opportunities across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and competing priorities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and schedule according to business needs.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays availability.
• Proactive and goal-driven with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and contribute to store sales goals.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve goals.
• Follow the La-Z-Boy selling process and provide a positive customer experience.
• Develop product knowledge and demonstrate features to customers.
• Schedule deliveries and manage daily store operations.
• Support design-related functions and maintain store appearance.
• Handle inquiries and provide appropriate solutions to customers.
