Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor in Akron, OH to meet with families, guide them through funeral and cemetery options, and build a strong customer base through proactive outreach.

Role includes consultative sales, lead generation, and relationship-building with local communities, with commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate. Training provided and mileage reimbursed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in sales or related roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or MS Dynamics preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through leads, referrals, networking, and outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads and walk-in opportunities; follow up throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products and pricing clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, and sales opportunities.
