Summit Medical Group Physical Therapy Corporate Office is seeking an Appointment Scheduler for a full-time daytime schedule (8:00am - 4:30pm) to support a busy clinic. The role involves greeting patients, screening calls, and coordinating scheduling across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and at least one year of medical office experience, with strong data entry and telephone etiquette.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.
• Excellent phone communication and data entry skills.

Responsabilidades

• Answers incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Directs calls to appropriate areas and extensions.
• Records messages accurately and prompts for necessary information.
• Screens calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information.
• Verifies and updates patient information in records/database.
• Maintains computerized scheduling and follows scheduling policies.
• Makes outbound calls for confirmations, referrals, and pre-certs as needed.
• Communicates general clinic information to patients and callers.
• Responds to emergencies per protocol and uses the paging system accordingly.
• Notifies of telephone system issues and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Prepares next day paperwork and maintains a neat work area.
• Assists with charge entry or coding issues.
• Performs duties professionally with courtesy to patients and staff.
• Supports mail processing and other general office tasks as requested.
• Attends meetings as required and adheres to compliance policies.
• Participates in site quality improvement activities and performance measurement.
• Performs related work as assigned.
