Job summary

Summit Medical Group at Farragut seeks a friendly Phone Operator to answer incoming calls, schedule patient appointments, and direct callers to the right extensions in a busy medical office.

This full-time role, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, requires at least 1 year of phone-answering and appointment-scheduling experience in a medical setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills. Pre-employment drug testing and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience answering phones and scheduling appointments in a medical office/clinic.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, MS Office, Outlook, and EHR.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Schedule patient appointments using established procedures.
• Direct calls to appropriate areas and extensions.
• Record messages accurately and concisely.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist with general office functions as requested.
• Attend meetings as required.
