Job summary

Summit Medical Group at Farragut is seeking a Phone Operator to answer incoming calls in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, directing calls, and maintaining accurate messages and directories. Requires 1 year of medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and EHR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in medical phone answering and appointment scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Schedule patient appointments using established procedures.
• Direct calls to appropriate areas and take messages with accuracy.
• Maintain telephone directory and update extensions.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and other general office tasks.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
