Job summary

Summit Orthopedics in Woodbury, MN is seeking a full-time Appointment Scheduler to register and schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures and clinics. You will handle front-line calls with courtesy and accuracy, verify patient demographics and insurance, and coordinate appointments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in healthcare (scheduling, billing, call center, registration, financial counseling) is required.
• High School or better.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline communication to patients by answering calls and delivering high level customer service.
• Review patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Register new patients with demographics and insurance details.
• Search schedules to meet physician/location/date/time needs and confirm appointments.
• Coordinate interpreters for deaf or non-English speaking patients.
• Follow scheduling protocols established by physician teams.
• Cross-train in switchboard and clinic navigator duties as needed.
