Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and site objectives at the Fulfillment Center.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance targets while fostering positive employee relations. You will drive Lean process improvements, prioritize safety, quality and customer experience, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies, to enhance operational efficiency and achieve business objectives.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing ideas and creating improvement plans for the area.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
