Job summary

Amazon in Carencro, LA, seeks a Senior Operations Manager responsible for all budgetary, people development and site objectives in the fulfillment center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach staff, improve safety, quality and customer experience, and drive Lean initiatives across inbound or outbound operations.

The role requires 7+ years of management experience in manufacturing or distribution, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and flexibility to work nights, weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with Lean and process improvement.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle: hiring, performance, promotions and terminations.
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean and quality initiatives to meet the business plan.
• Ensure safety, quality, performance and customer experience for either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set clear expectations for Operations and Area Managers and measure performance.
• Leverage managers to source ideas and drive improvements.
• Promote cross-department sharing of best practices.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources.
