Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality, and customer experience across inbound or outbound operations.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7+ years of direct management in manufacturing, production, or distribution, with strong staffing lifecycle and performance

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed the business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages managers by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the area.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
