Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks at a designated site in California. You will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and field retrofits while communicating with customer personnel and ensuring safety in the field.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, the ability to work independently, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Computer and software systems skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and evaluate to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Order parts and tools for customer service and support.
