Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair breakdowns, and install/service fuel cells at a customer site.

This role requires strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with travel to locations as needed to ensure safe, reliable operations. Key duties include diagnostic work, field upgrades, regular reporting, and maintaining safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• On-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
