Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in California seeks a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks. You will install, service, diagnose, and upgrade fuel cells at a customer site and report issues, order parts, and maintain documentation.

The role requires strong technical, communication, and safety skills. The position involves travel, on-call support, and the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
