Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks, performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a customer site.

The role involves installation, servicing, reporting breakdowns, and maintaining documentation while traveling as needed. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a valid driver license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet at location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Communicate with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers.
• Maintain safety procedures and complete service logs and documentation.
• Travel as required and drive safely.
