Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems installed in electric lift trucks. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and upgrade field hardware/software at a designated site.

Responsibilities include parts procurement, on-site safety, and timely reporting of service events. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Formal training may substitute for direct experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and fleet evaluations at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• On-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment and parts for service needs.
• Travel to customer sites and operate safely per regulations.
• Provide feedback to regional service reps on performance and issues.
• Complete incident reports, service logs, and documentation.
