Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service fuel cells in electric lift trucks at customer locations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and report breakdown events while maintaining clear communication with customers and regional teams. This role requires a high school diploma with electrical coursework, 3+ years of hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, a valid license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain fleets.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Travel as required for business needs; drive safely and follow traffic laws.
• Complete incident reports, service logs, and site documentation.
