Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate in Chino, CA. You will help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service at the store entrance and throughout the shift.

The role emphasizes awareness, confidence, and the ability to identify theft risks, engaging with customers and associates to uphold safety and shrink-reduction programs. This is a part‑time on‑site position with opportunities to participate in Burlington’s training and development

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and high‑risk areas to reduce theft and maintain a safe store environment.
• Greet customers with a friendly, energetic greeting and provide responsive service while maintaining security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and promote safety culture.
