Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is looking for a Shortage Control Associate in Springfield, IL to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering great customer service.

You will monitor store entrances, report incidents, and support store leadership in reducing theft opportunities. Responsibilities include greeting customers, knowing shortage programs, training associates, and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Energetic greeting and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor front of store and entrances to reduce opportunities for theft.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, confident greeting.
• Assist in enforcing safety and security standards across the store.
