Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service at the store entrance and high-risk areas.

You will greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting; monitor for theft, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and participate in shortage reduction programs. This role supports store leadership and offers an associate discount and benefits for eligible part-time staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and maintain alertness.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrance areas and high-risk zones to reduce opportunities for theft and dishonesty.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious individuals to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in shortage reduction training and promote safety and security standards.
