Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service.

You will guard entrances/exits, greet customers, and collaborate with store leadership to reduce theft while training staff on shortage-reduction programs. The role requires staying attentive, maintaining professional appearance, and communicating effectively with customers and team members in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations preferred.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership skills to foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to stand, walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to deter theft and maintain security.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and confident, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in shortage reduction training and reinforce safety practices among associates.
