Job summary

Burlington Stores in Plymouth, MA is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service. You will monitor store entrances, engage customers and associates, and apply shortage reduction programs to deter theft.

You will work with store leadership, greet every customer with confidence, and report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to support store teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance and front of store to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a confident, friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
