Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will be stationed at store entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers warmly, and help reduce theft with a confident presence and knowledge of shortage programs. The role requires a vigilant, energetic approach, strong communication, and the ability to train others on loss-prevention processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft and safeguard assets.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, confident greeting.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to Manager on Duty.
• Support and train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
