Job summary

Burlington Stores in Massachusetts is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to enhance store security while delivering friendly customer service. You will be stationed at entrances and high‑risk areas, greet customers, and help reduce theft opportunities during every shift.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ years in customer service or loss prevention, are able to stand for long periods, communicate effectively, and collaborate with store leadership on shortage reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong leadership skills to support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to deter theft throughout shifts.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Participate in shortages reduction programs and trainings.
