Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, welcoming shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas with vigilance and professionalism.

This role emphasizes awareness of theft trends, team collaboration, and strong communication. You will greet customers with a confident, energetic greeting and support store leadership in loss prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce opportunities for theft and maintain a secure environment.
• Greet every customer with a confident, friendly, energetic greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support and training to associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
